We have had family events in Leavenworth like weddings , birthdays and anniversaries because it is such a cool area. I get bored in Leavenworth unless there is an event but every year the women in our family go to one of our timeshares in Leavenworth. Sometimes it is the Worldmark and other times it is the VI Blackbird Lodge. They all tell me how much they like going on these trips. I think it's the massages and wine but it's more than that. Here is a live cam of Leavenworth that will soon show snow.

Growing up in BC, our family road trip each summer was up to Lake Chelan, WA, and we'd always visit Leavenworth on the way there and back. As a kid, I thought this looked like a European village straight out of a fairytale, and I loved it. It wasn't until I was an adult, taking my own kids there, that I was able to visit in the winter after it snowed. Magical! Thanks for the reminder @easyrider , the border rules are relaxing next month and this will be a great place to visit after missing out on all those great trips to WA these past two years.

My husband's sister and her family live in Leavenworth. The town is amazing in any season, but Winter is when it really comes alive. I hope everyone gets the chance to visit there at some point. It's pretty incredible.
