Lawrence Welk resort escondido? Now a marriott?

Big Bear, Hyatt Vacation Club (Hyatt Highlands), Marriott (Grand Chateau)
My friend owns at Lawrence Welk Escondido. She said she can't get through to book anything. My question? Is she now a part of the Marriott Vacation Club or did it stay a stand alone type resort?

My understanding is that Welk Escondido is under the Hyatt umbrella. While Marriott now owns Hyatt, I don't think that Hyatt has been assimilated into the Borg (Marriott) yet. Future? Who knows.

Hyatt Vacation Club to be exact. And as mentioned, it isn't part of Marriott Vacation Club and there are no plans to incorporate them.
