Hi,
My 19 year old has asked we go back to Vegas the year he is 21. I was looking at the Hilton at the Flamingo for a possible trade. Does anyone have any information about this resort? Is it a difficult trade?
A few years ago we traded into the Elara, which we all loved, but looking to try somewhere different. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Sue

It isn't a difficult trade, but they do the bulk deposits a little over a year ahead of time. You'll want to put your request in at least 18 months before your desired date.

It's a good location for walking to many things. My wifi/cell service didn't work well in the room. When I needed to make a call, I had to go outside and there weren't any quiet places outside.

We stay there almost every year. Just love the location. The rooms seem a bit smaller than some other resorts but plenty big for the 2 of us.

Elara is a much more modern resort but costs a lot more. I can get a full one bedroom at Flamingo for the same points as a studio or Jr. Suite at Elara. Stayed at Elara last time and just loved it. But, the walk is much greater. From the room to the strip was quite the walk compared to the Flamingo.

I just love the location at the Flamingo. Not sure you can get a better location.
enjoy

Thank you for the responses.
At the flamingo, are guests at the timeshare able to use the pools at the Flamingo resort?
Confusing on the web site.
Sue

If you have an RCI Acct., you can often rent from RCI for far less than the cost of a trade + Exchange Fee. Las Vegas has a lot of inventory, and you can often rent for $300, or even less.

Yes, you can use the pools at the Flamingo Hotel. It's written into the property agreement between HGVC and Flamingo.
