I'm guessing they are really referring to the DRI resort at 901 Ski Run Blvd. The listing says "lakefront" but the address for Lake Tahoe Resort (right next to the Marriott) on Lake Tahoe Blvd is definitely NOT lakefront.

In the listing, they list it as a DRI resort, so that would be my guess, too. The whole listing reads oddly.

Personally I would stay away from any Bankruptcy Asset Auctions. I don't have the time or resources to search the deed for possible liens or who knows what.

I've read of others who have had a lot of problem with these types of sales.

More Crap listings from a sloppy liquidator ?

More likely an inaccurate listing from a company that doesn't actually deal much in timeshares just trying to unload something...

I asked a few questions and the responses came back in a way that gave me the impression they have no clue about what they are dealing with.... and they still have to do in-house transfer paperwork (supposedly this is required by law??).

Caveat emptor!

This was indeed the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel formerly the Embassy Suites. I stayed there a number of times when it was an Embassy Suites but now own down the street at the Marriott Grand Residence.

This used to be my favorite place to stay in South Lake. I walked through the lobby a few weeks ago and it seemed kind of dingy and run-down. The concierge told me it had been taken over by another company.

It is about 4 blocks from the lake, though it is adjacent to the casinos and a 2 minute walk to the Heavenly gondola.
