Hello, as a new owner of a hgvc timeshare, i am just starting to realize that a lot of the beautiful resorts listed with rci i may never have a chance to get into during any of the prime seasons. I was wondering if i am wasting my time trying to get into lake shore village resort in New Hamphsire in the summer i have not seen anything listed at all for it.

The best way to get an RCI exchange is to have an ongoing search OGS and monitor the TUG sightings board. Just searching the onlne inventory, you are only seeing leftovers.

thanks for the reply I went in and started the process but stopped when it wanted to charge me 219 dollars, that seems crazy.

$219 is the exchange fee - if you don't get the exchange you want, you can either leave it on account for your next exchange, or get a refund.

If they didn't charge the fee upfront, the system would get bogged down with people who had no intention of completing the exchanges they request.

The best exchanges are snagged behind the scenes with ongoing searches, and never appear online. If you only look online, you only see the leftovers.
