Does anyone have the 30% off code from the front of the sale circular that was mailed last week? It expires Aug. 18th and I can't find it on my usual online websites. The one that was mailed to me was only 15%. Thanks for the help.

Retailmenot.com lists "SAVE30AUG" as being successful for 30% off.

I haven't tried it myself.

I used my Kohl's 30% discount this weekend. The code is the same as Bev's, SAVE30AUG if you use your Kohl's charge, but it does say "non-transferable." I think it's attached to your card so if you try to use one that hasn't been issued to you, you might be out of luck. I'd try it anyway. :)

There is a great sale happening all over the store through tomorrow! After our nightmare travel a few weeks ago (non-stop BWI to Boston ended up as Baltimore-Cincinnati-Chicago-Boston and it took 11 hours!) we have decided to leave the Dark Ages and fly with carry-ons whenever we can from now on. I picked up two 21" Samsonite luggage pieces for $70 from regular-price $199, on sale $99 plus the 30% off. I'm happy. Except now we have to get used to traveling without full-size toiletries.

thanks...i gave it to my sister and she said it did work. i plan on using it tonight...great sale on chaps comforter sets.
sorry to hear about your travel nightmare...yikes

Great sale! 30% on everything and I mean everything! We bought $495.19 worth of school clothes & misc. and saved $148.56.

Yeah, that's about what I did, too. When you figure that almost everything was on sale, that $495.19 was probably more like $700 worth of full-price merchandise for $350 - can't beat that! The one and only thing I paid full-price for was a $17.99 Yankee Candle.

I love the luggage deal, but the BEST deal of the whole shopping trip was a set of 500-thread king-sized sheets with two extra pillowcases for less than $70.

Now I sound like a shop-a-holic  but honestly, I hate shopping so do it only when these gigantic sales happen at Kohl's or Macy's. Both of them do these coupon deals with their credit cards, and the percent-off-total is always higher if you're not a frequent shopper. Once or twice a year to load up on the bargains makes shopping almost fun.

If anyone is trying to finalize their kohl's shopping order their website is down and if you saved your shopping bag you can call customer service at 1-800-694-2647. They are open until 1:00 AM central time and they can push the order through for you. I saved $287 dollars! :whoopie:

Do you mean it's higher for those who ARE frequent shoppers? Or do they really tend to give a better discount to those who are NOT?

When the fliers with the peel-off stickers hiding the 15/20/30% come in the mail, we get 30% fairly often, maybe about 1/3 of the time. Since we generally buy what's on sale or clearance anyway, it's amazing how much we save.

The next sale is 15% off everything plus 20% back in Kohl's cash (in increments of $10 for spending $50).

I find that if I've used my Kohl's card within 2 months of those 15/20/30% sticker things, then I get either the 15 or 20. But if I haven't used the card for 3 months or more, then I get the 30%. It's like they're trying to draw me back in ... "come shooooooop with us agaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiin"

The same thing happens with Macy's - I don't use that card either until I'm at the highest percent-off.

And at both places, I shop like you do buying mostly sale or clearance stuff so the savings really add up.

I find the opposite. My daughter almost never uses her card, and she always get 15% off. I am always using my card, and I usually get 20% or 30% off.

I thought it was random.

In any case, if your flier has a 15, ask the cashier for a rub-off - who knows, you might luck out with a 30! You could also look longingly at the 30 being clutched by someone else in line; sometimes people share :) Technically not permitted, but it does work.
