Setting the ball rolling for our stay at Ko Olina. Any advise from recent vacationist who have attend either or both the Luau or the Fia Fia at the resort. Thanks

I definitely recommend the Fia Fia

We were there last August, originally booked Paradise Cove Luau but then changed our mind based on some of the recommendations on this board and went to the Fia Fia instead.

Oh we were so glad we did that. I had never laughed so hard during a luau! I can not comment on the Paradise Cove since we canceled that one, but I had been to traditional luau before in Maui at Royal Lahania. Fia Fia is ten times better. If you have kids, they will let them sit around the stage (which is just a slightly raised hill on the lawn). We had a great time.

We will be at the Marriott hotel in August. Can anyone attend the fia fia or is it just for the TS people? Where do you get tickets?

Ditto to what Spottie said. We were there in December and did the exact same thing; cancelled the Paradise Cove Luau.

It is at the TS so I am not sure if it is open to motel guests at the Marriott or not. Good question that I don't remember being answered in all my searches. You might have to call on that one.

Fia Fia should be open any one. We have attended our fair share of luaus and really enjoyed the Fia Fia. The Chief is hilarious and the Kava ceremony was a different experience. The children (and some of the adults) enjoyed the henna tattoos which were done for free. By all mean, do try to get to the Fia Fia. The Chief also offers special tours to his settlement. We missed out on this because of timing, but it is something I would probably do in the future.

What is Fia Fia? Is it food and show or just a show? We're going in May 08. Last year we stayed at JW Marriott and heard that other luau every night.
We did go to the one at PCC and on Maui to Old Lahaina (what a show---all the guys will know what I mean!)

Fia-Fia, from what I can gather, is a luau type feast but without the traditional Imu (inground cooking method). Has anyone attended the Luau? Seems the Fia-Fia might be the way to go. Thanks for your input.

I never came across any while I did find discounts for the others. We did do the "tour to the east" with the chief. While it was fun and interesting, it was pretty much a duplicate of his routine from Fia-Fia. Our bus broke down on a busy highway and we were stuck there for more than an hour before they could get another bus to us.
