Were week 51 and/or 52 sold as event week at Kings' Land? I am researching HVGC and I am trying to understand how if compares to Starwood.

No idea about the week sale, but if you are looking for those fixed weeks, you will probably need to buy them and probably at a premium price.

Does anybody know if HGVC allow upgrades of units? For instance, you own a 2 BD at Kigng's Land and want to upgrade to a 3 BD. Would HGVC buy your unit as a trade in/down payment? If so, how do they determine the value they will give you as trade in?

Yes. If you buy retail they will apply old unit value to new one. Resale is exponentially cheaper.

Depending on your points you can easily book a 3bd at 9 month out!
Kings Land phase 1 has a 50% premium compared to KL phase 2 which is in line with (most) other 2bd in the system, yet the 3bd are out of reach unless you use points for two years.

Or, expressed in points:
KL phase 2 for a 2bd: 7000/8400/9600
KL phase 1 for a 2bd: 10500/12600/14400

3bd can be booked starting at 12600 pts!

And buy resale! Save the remaining money for 1000 Mai Thai's.

Not sure what you meant by mentioning Phase 2 - but there are no 3 bedroom units in Phase 2 at Kings' Land. Just 1's and 2's.

Yes, correct. I wanted to point out that one would need 12600 points for a 3bd, which in turn leads you into the phase 1 buildings with their larger rooms and closer proximity to the pools.
