Kings' Land - 2BP vs 2KP - Best odds for same building?

Taking my sisters and nieces to Kings' Land this summer and getting two 2-bed Plus units, but trying to determine if it makes a difference between 2BR and 2KP if we would like to try to request same building. Anyone know if they have more of 1 type per building than the other? Or if I might be better doing 1 of each? I will contact the resort a couple weeks before check-in to ask if they can be closer together, but wasn't sure if anyone has tips on booking strategy.

If I want to ask HGVC for their recommendation, would be best to talk to KL directly and not the main HGVC line right?

You said you had booked a Plus unit, but you said 2BR above in your post. The 2BR is not a Plus unit. It is a standard first floor 2 bedroom. The Plus units are coded as 2BP and 2KP. The 2BP units can be on either the first floor or second floor, whereas the 2KP are only second floor.

We decided to book 2KP since that seems to be phase 1 only. I’ve only stayed in phase 3 on prior trips and really like it but would prefer to get closer to the super pool complex with my nieces.

Based on the link @brp posted, you may be right that 2KP is only Phase 1. I do know that 1KP is in both, as we stayed in a 1KP in Phase 3 in February 2020 and a 1KP in Phase 1 in February 2022. I'm not at all familiar with the 2 bedroom units there. In fact, in our six years of ownership in HGVC, we've never stayed in a 2 bedroom unit anywhere in the HGVC system. It's always been a 1 bedroom or a studio. That's allowed us to stretch the points from our 2BR Sea World unit into 56 HGVC nights since 2019 - and some of those nights were the two full weeks in 2020 and 2022 in the higher-point 1KP units at Kings Land.

I'm in the same situation. When you booked the 2KP...which building did you end up in? Debating between a 2BP and 2KP at Kings Land. We prefer the lower floors (so kids can run around) but in all our trips there...we've only stayed on the "mega pool side" of the resort. So I would prefer to stay in Phase 1 if possible. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!
