I would love recommendations for Key West in October? What’s the weather like? Things to do? Where to stay? Etc
Thank you all very much

Hurricane’s are still a threat. We were there in early May and really enjoyed it. Beaches are not nearly as nice as other parts of Florida. But if you’re looking for a slower pace and to relax KW is great.
Mallory square for the sunsets. Conch train for the sights. Hemingway house and TrumanWhite house for the nostalgia.

Can recommend 2 restaurants. Blue heaven and Eaton St seafood market.

It is very humid in October, still hurricane season, we always traded into The Galleon.
I always wanted to take the trip to the Dry Tortugas and to see Fort Jefferson. We did kayaking, sunset cruises, walked around old town, saw Hemingway, Audubon ,band atruman Houses. Went to a state park or beach and a museum nearby. Went to also went out on a half day fishing trip.

Oct can be humid, almost bet on a pop up (10 min) storm about 4 pm lol. . Look at Hyatt Sunset Harbor, Galleon and Banyan. Everything is open, seems to be a slightly smaller crowd. Happy hour at Boat house, White Tarpon and Alonso's...HH drinks at Tikki bar at the Galleon some favs.

Are you planning to timeshare trade, or private accommodations? If private, we really liked Southernmost Point Guest House, it's a historic b&b inn, IMO great location, free parking, and "reasonable" for Key West. That'd be my first choice if/when we go back, altho I'd also considered a motel-type place that has houseboats. Also really liked Fort Zachary Taylor State Park for beach time, as others have mentioned. Enjoyed Mel Fisher museum (not to be confused with the other shipwreck museum), and the butterfly house which is next door to the inn I recommended. Restaurant-wise, I was personally disappointed with a couple of Cuban places we tried, liked seafood meals better but can't recall restaurant names. We booked our Key West trip sort of last-minute, after hurricane Ian undid our Sanibel reservations, and was glad to salvage a decent vacation.
