We will be traveling to Poipu next week and have been there before. So, I remember Brennekes, Beach House, Pizza in Old koloa Town. What other restaurants do people enjoy? Looking for medium priced(I know it is a relative term in Hawaii)
If you make it up to Hanalei, definitely check out the Hanalei dolphin restaurant and Jojos shave ice (try the option of the ice cream in the middle). These are two (of many) things that keep me going back every year.
We like Keoki's Paradise for a medium priced dinner. Duke's in Lihuie is good too. For a top notch dinner, Tidepools is our favorite, with Merriman's coming in second.
For breakfast or lunch, try Little Fish Coffee if the line isn't too long. Great bagel sandwiches.
For medium priced I concur with Keoki's Paradise in Poipu and Duke's in Lihue. For more upscale, Merriman's and The Beach House (amazing sunsets). We also enjoyed Red Salt at the hotel right beside Marriott's Waiohai.
Puka Dog is another fun place to eat in Poipu. We take our food and go to the park across the street and watch the waves. We also like the food trucks in Koloa.

They are open all day and also have live music most days at lunch time. It can be a little hit and miss but the food is very decent and the view amazing.

Two other options for you - Grandma's Kitchen in Hanapepe...and Koloa Fish Market in Koloa (not a restaurant but you can get "lunch plates" at very reasonable prices and the food is yummy ono!).
We always head over to Shrimp Station in Waimea when we are headed to that side of Kauai.
Also, if we are there on a Wednesday we head over to Oasis on the beach, Kapaa 3-5 for Happy Hour and to hear Aldriene Guerro. Ukulele master and super entertaining.
