Kauai Beach Club -- Murphy Beds

Does anyone know if the re-vamp of the rooms at KBC is now complete -- I've read lots about the Murphy beds being installed, but wasn't sure if they're already in place.

We're headed there end of August.

I was there last August and was told they would be starting in Oct. The mock up of the murphy beds was really nice and a real mattress will be a bonanza for owners and exchangers IMO.

I don't have any facts but I would definealely think they would be all installed by this August if they are not already done.:)
 
My sister is at KBC right now and they have the new Murphy bed. It is actually a part of the new couch. They claim it is VERY comfortable.
 
Refurbishment Delays

I emailed Marriott this question in January and received the following reply:

"Refurbishment is now scheduled for September 2008 and should be completed with in about six months. Since we have enhanced the project by adding the very expensive wall bed unit instead of just another couch, the refurbishment has been postponed in order to allow the reserves to recover this additional expense. The wall beds we are installing now are designed in concert with the total refurbishment so all the finishes and fixtures will match once installed."

We just (two days ago) got back from there and our unit had an older sofa bed, not a murphy bed. So they definitely have not done the whole property. Luckily we did not need to use it.
 
For anyone who's just returned (or with a good memory), what's the name of the building with the Ocean Front units (~9 floors if memory serves).

I don't remember the name but the room # are in the 500's. Like 517, 535 although the 5 may represent the floor we were on??
 
Oceanfront units are in the Kilohana tower.
