Kauai Backcountry Tubing

Tubing down the sugar cane canal sounds like fun, but I have claustrophobia. How much of the trip is within tunnels and how small are the tunnels? Thanks.

There's not a lot of it within the tunnels but the adventure is fantastic. I definitely recommend it!

I have done this as well, it was fun. The tunnels make up a small part of it, and only lasts for a few minutes. It is dark as well, but the current and other people around will help you to feel safe. There really are no dangers aside form human error and taking risks. the day that I went was a cooler day and the water was chilly. Other than that, I would do it again. I think you should try it, if you get uncomfortable in the cave, it will be over in a moment and you are not alone.

I believe they are the only company doing this.

The land where the tubing takes place is privately owned.

Got to admit it looks like fun! The tunnels are longer than I envisioned, but I think if I keep my eyes closed the keep flowing downward I will be okay. Thanks everybody.

30 years ago my family kinda did this on Maui, but on our own and the kids went slipping through the tunnels- I remember tubing the flume- was that Kauia?
