I let our RCI membership laspe, we often cannot use all our timeshare weeks and still use our second home in Colorado. I have been renting out the unused weeks, but this market seems a little flooded right now. So all the sudden, I recieved an offer from RCI for one year at $50.00 and 2 years for $90.00.

This offer appears to only work if you do NOT have a CURRENT RCI MEMBERSHIP. If you have a current membership, it will NOT be a valid link for you. My membership had expired and was no longer active. I think it had been expired at least 6 months.

Hopefully I did not waste the $90.00. We have enjoyed some very nice trades with RCI, but it was always a hassle. I got upset at them one to many times and swore I would let the membership laspe and not look back.
Well now I am willing to try again since the program has changed. I always deposited one year in advance, usually a winter week (often Presidents week or Easter) and did searches 12-24 months out. So, in theory I shoud get a good trading vaule.

If not, then this will be the lsast cash RCI sees from me!

Did you sign up online for the RCI membership? Was a code needed to get that price? I tried to call RCI last week, finally getting someone who told me he could not help I needed to sign up online. So I am now ready to register with a bit of guidance.

RCI had a 2 for 1 membership deal for current/active members several months ago. There was a thread on it. Many took advantage of it to extend memberships. Maybe they will offer it again.

Hmmm.... it may have been almost a year ago now (time flies!) I remember it was around the time of the new system roll out. Well, maybe that means it's time soon for the offer again!

I signed up through the same link on the 13th. My card hasn't been charged yet and, like you, I haven't heard a peep from them (e-mail, phone, or otherwise). Very strange in this day and age not to get at least an automated e-mail confirming the transaction is underway.

I STILL haven't heard from RCI! I'm glad I don't need to make a deposit until December! :annoyed:

They are not good about responding. I extended some Points to my 2012 Year and was told I would get an Email Confirmation. Nothing. The only way I can tell that the Points have been moved is to call the phone number and listen to them recite my balances.
