We’re in Vegas at the Grand Chateau and we wanted to see the Wizard of Oz show at the Sphere so we asked about tickets at the Concierge . We were quoted $350 for good seats and then were offered a presentation for the tickets. Reluctantly we agreed because we really wanted to see the show but didn’t want to spend so much. BTW Amazing sensory experience watching OZ at the Sphere that we highly recommend.

So we arrived up at 845am and got some coffee. Within 5 minutes they came to us and said they were overbooked and we could reschedule or just take the free tickets without having to do another presentation. We of course said no thanks to the rescheduling and left within 10 minutes. My wife said she felt like skipping she was so happy because she really hates the BS presentations. That is truly a first for us.

You got lucky in Vegas. Nice.

We have tickets for the wizard of Oz show in December. So glad you liked it and good for you on your score!

Glad you were able to skip. I have never had issues on presentations, but the one in Vegas was the first were my wife felt the closer was just way too aggressive. So definitely a win for you

Congrats, this happened to us at a Hilton presentation a few years ago ... except they were not overbooked, rather they had some sales reps call off last minute.

This has happened a few times to us - always a pleasant surprise!

This happened to us at a Hilton timeshare in Vegas. We traded in through RCI and accepted an offer for a presentation. The salesman started his spiel and we mentioned that we owned Hilton in Orlando. He seemed surprised, left the room and when he came back he said because we bought on the secondary market, we should not have been invited to a presentation. We were immediately escorted to the desk to get our gift. Smiles all around!

Hilton having a shortage of sales weasels seems to be a constant problem for them. Twice this year, we've been handed our cash gift and sent on our (Gleeful) way.
