So, we were able to get free enrollment on our last encore visit to OceanWatch. We own ey Canyon Villa's and eoy OceanPointe. The plan is to convert CV for 2950 points and go to OceanWatch for 10 days (cost 2750 pts) in middle of September every year. Question is how hard or easy will this be? Also, is trying to get the dates you want 12 months out the same as what we do now to book a week? Book online or call in at 9:00 ET?

We’re your weeks purchased resale?
Before or after 2010?

Booking Oceanwatch in September shouldn’t be all that difficult.

Points inventory is released mainly on Tuesdays & Fridays I believe. But still at 9AM and yes you can book online or call. Check the when can I reserve tool for the exact date you need.

Thanks. CV resale and bought prior to 2010. OP is a developer week purchase.

This question was asked because anyone who bought before June 2010 can enroll for free, no encore needed. Just a note for others in the same situation.

If you read the original post you will see the OP enrolled for free which would also imply the week is a pre 2010 or developer purchase.

Developer purchase isn't the deciding factor, week must be purchased before June 2010, developer or resale. OP stated "we were able to get free enrollment on our last encore visit," which implied the encore visit was necessary. (This how we enrolled our week prior to the free webinar being rolled out.)

My point was to highlight that you don't need to buy an Encore to get free enrollment. OP may have bought the Encore anyway, and they just enrolled as a result, I don't know.

To summarize: Any week bought pre June 2010 (resale or developer) can be enrolled for free by watching webinar (not a sales pitch). Post 6/2020 purchases (developer or not) require tens of thousands of dollars of points to be purchased.

I have mentioned this before, but for clarification:-
enrolment for free by watching the webinar is not available for International resident MVC owners
enrolment deadline (developer or not) is different for International MVC resort owners - June 2012 for Europe, August 2016 for Phuket.

Thanks buzzap for the additional clarification.
