Just curious, what kind of thing would get a user here "Banned"?

In digging through old posts researching topics of interest, I've seen "Banned" users, and wonder what that's all about. If someone here is trying to mislead others into using an Exit Strategy scam, for instance, I'd expect they'd be banned, or even just "deleted" - but are there other things that can be reported to a mod that would get someone banned, like a member who doesn't honor a contract and backs out, or one who misrepresents their listing after it being pointed out to them that there was an issue, etc?

takes quite a bit of effort to get a permanent ban here for a regular (ie not spammy/shilly) person...

though rare, that feat has been accomplished by a handful of people over the years most of which were given repeated warnings and temporary bans in an attempt to correct said behavior. at some point there are no other options left when someone simply cant play well with others.

Thank you for the clarification. I hadn’t noticed the link to Rules, perhaps added as an edit, but very helpful. Hats off to all who contribute to making, and keeping, this forum so awesome for all! ☺️

Too bad you couldn't send them to a full day owners update.
