July 4th - US Independence Day Events @ MVC Resorts?

Curious what MVC resorts have special July 4th events on-site or within the local area?

For 2016, we will be at Grande Vista for July 4th Week. We'll be keeping an eye out for the fireworks at Sea World.

For 2015, we were at Manor Club for July 4th Week and spent the day of at Colonial Williamsburg (the best time to be there IMHO followed a close second by the Christmas season). Despite an evening downpour, the storms broke just in time for a great fireworks show over Colonial Williamsburg.

For 2014, we were at Lakeshore Reserve for July 4th Week and enjoyed the fireworks show put on at the neighboring J.W. Marriott.

All of the properties had games and activities during the day, including offering a reasonably priced cook-out. We love being at MVCI properties for July 4th week.

It's always a blast.

Went away twice over July 4th. Stayed in Capistrano Beach, CA one year (not at a Marriott) and was able to see the fireworks displays of the various ocean side cities from our resort. I'm guessing that you could do the same from Newport Coast Villas.

Stayed at the Diamond Resort (again, not Marriott) in Lake Tahoe another year and was able to see the display over the lake. Not sure if any of the rooms at Timber Lodge face the lake, but if I remember correctly, it wasn't real far from our resort.

If it's a clear day, you MIGHT get lucky and see some of the Atlantic City fireworks from Seaview.

We regularly go to our home resort MFV for the 4th...

But not this year as we will be away leading up to it (MVF and London stay).

I dont know about seeing fireworks from Seaview, but we do usually take a fireworks cruise from the Atlantic City harbour and have always enjoyed that.

The resort does do barbecues and other activities (for all ages) related to Independence day, varying each year, some of which we have participated in.

From what I have heard, yes - most of the resorts celebrate the 4th - as well as other holidays if you happen to be there for them - in some fashion.

Was in Park City for July 4th a few years ago at Summit Watch. The town does a parade down Park Avenue which flows into a big outdoor party at the town park. It's all within walking distance of Summitt Watch.

Vail Mountain (Marriott Streamside & Ritz Carlton) and nearby Avon, CO both have wonderful fireworks displays over the 4th of July weekend.

The 4th of July at MOC is the most fun day of the year. One big party, topped off with fireworks up and down Kaanapali Beach at night. We go every year. As a matter of fact just made the 2017 reservations today!

We will be at Manor Club (Williamsburg) July 4th week. We were there a few years ago during July 4th week. Marriott had a picnic (reasonable $), games, crafts, watermelon eating contest and poolside DJ. Kids had a blast! We attended the fireworks at Colonial Williamsburg and they were spectacular.
