Isolated dates missing ahead of 9 month window

I'm looking at W57 availability for Thanksgiving Week. The last day that can be booked as of today is a checkout of 11/23 (276 days out from today). There is availability missing in the 1 Bedroom Plus units for checkout on 11/26 and 11/27 which is 279 and 280 days out. This is not due to Home Week bookings, there are only 2 days missing and not a whole week. How does this happen?

having re-read this, i now think this is a rhetorical question, maybe theoretical?

i don't know the rules of booking there, so maybe i should just crawl back in my hole...

My understanding is that Thanksgiving Week at W57 is a fixed week...owners automatically have a reservation for that week though they can choose to give some or all of it up for points.

What I don't know is if an owner can decide to give up some of those nights between 276 and 365 days away or if they are supposed to wait until 276 days out.

Thanksgiving is a fixed week, owners can give up their fixed reservation reservation up to 365 days out. If they don't want their fixed week, it is converted to points which are then treated like any other points subject to the 276 days before checkout limitation. Owners can not give up a fixed week and still retain a portion of the nights if they are past the 276 days before checkout deadline - as is the case here.

I do own W57 - but I'm not on FB. And it's a real question, AFAIK the 1 Bedroom Plus units are the only ones guaranteed to be along 57th with a view of the parade.

I am not certain of this, but if there is unsold inventory (especially in this case a Holiday week), I would believe HGVC can do anything they want with those weeks/days.

Are you 100% certain of that? I've dropped nights off my Home Week reservation and converted it into a Club Reservation at less than 276 nights but I don't own a fixed week so have never tried.

And while I think you may be right, the 2025 HGVC Disclosure Guide is somewhat vague on the issue of relinquishing a portion of a fixed week reservation.

I agree. But just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean it isn't possible...as I wrote the Disclosure guide is somewhat vague on the issue.

Yes. I have a fixed week at W57 and when I wanted to change the week it was converted into points.

I could then use the points to make either a Home Week reservation (276 - 365 days out) or a Home Resort Priority reservation (276 - 45 days out). The points from my fixed week were subject to the same restrictions as other points - so I couldn't make a reservation more than 276 days out which appears to be the case here.

Perhaps Hilton Hotels somehow got its claws on those dates due to folks converting points to H-Honors.
Maybe HGVC gives Hilton a preference in selection?
