Hello all.
I purchased a Tri-annual in 2011 at the Grandview Resort in Las Vegas. I have yet to use my points or even return to visit the resort because we have been involved in other things.
A couple of days ago a representative from Vacation Village called from Florida and offered to to upgrade my current time share to a bi-annual with 60,000 points every two years. I currently receive 13,500 every year
The representative explained that the developer was offering a $3000 discount and that they would take my tri-annual timeshare in on trade for a $4000 value.
The cost to upgrade to a bi-annual would be $4000
I am new to the timeshare industry, however we do travel about once a year and enjoy Vegas. I have enjoyed vacationing via timeshare.
Should I should jump on this deal? Is this something I can negotiate now or later if I decide to hold out
Though I enjoy staying at timeshares, I am not trusting of the tactics when it comes to the sales end of the process, based on the experience with my first initial purchase.
