Is this realistic?

With so many people having a lot of trading experience here, I thought I would see what you all thought of my situation.

I just locked off my Grande Vista 3 bedroom and reserved Sat-Sat including Easter for 2008 (for both parts, 2 br and studio). I deposited them to II already and put in my requests for the 2 br (not totally sure what we want yet for the studio). I requested a 2 br in any of the Hawaii Marriott resorts or any of the oceanfront Hilton Head resorts for either the week of 6/14, 6/21 or 6/28 2008. Unfortunately, those are the only 3 weeks we could do (those are the Saturday dates, but we could do any checkin day except Friday 6/13). What do you think my chances are of getting one of those trades? I know I most likely won't hear anything until probably May at the earliest since most people cannot book these weeks yet.

I could possibly accept a 1 bedroom, but would really rather have the 2 bedroom. Is it possible to accept a 1 br initially just so I know I am going, then try to upgrade to a 2br? I wasn't sure with lockoffs how much better chance I'd have at a 1br. I did deposit a 2 br. What do you think?

Also, I asked II about getting an AC, and the rep said that they haven't released a schedule yet for 2008 Grande Vista, but she would be shocked if Easter week didn't get one. So, I can just call back to check periodically I suppose, or maybe they'll just send me one if they decide it's eligible? I had never even heard of ACs before I found this site!

G.V. for Hawaii or HHI

I think you have a very good chance of getting a HHI week, but the Hawaii week is going to be real tough.
In 2004 I traded a 2 bdr GV Easter week for a July Barony Beach week.
There are only 2 and 3 bdr units on HHI, so a 1 bdr is out of the question.
The Hawaii trade will be tough because most Hawaii owners do as you did , they lock out their units.

We were able to trade GV week 53 2005 for the first week in June 2006 in a 2 bdrm at MOC. I requested only MOC or Waiohai, all 2 bdrm units, as we were trying to go for 2 weeks using Ko Olina for the second week. Trade came through in 3 days. I requested exactly a year in advance.

BTW - I reserved our 3 bdrm GV for Fri - Fri Easter week! Have plans to do the Disney Cruise, but wanted a back up since I'll be buying air tickets to Orlando next month. Figure if I end up depositing it, it will be a good trader.
