Is Phuket Beach Club (PBC) a Viable Alternative to Owning a Lock Off for Exchanging?

Just to state the obvious - this is also one of the best resorts in the entire chain, co-located with a 5 star hotel, with daily housekeeping and simply stunning facilities.
@bazzap, others, apologies for mentioning our secret in a public thread, but I absolutely have no regrets about my PBC (phase 1) purchase.

On that note, unless things have changed, there is one small item for potential purchasers to note. some platinum weeks can choose week 51 and 52, while certain others (sold later by the developer) cannot. There does not seem to be a significant price difference, but I'd certainly prefer to have the ability to book these peak weeks if I could get it for the same price.

Based on PBC resale purchase history from 2019 to 2024 I did not pay a premium for Platinum vs Platinum-Plus (access to weeks 51 & 52) although many sellers expected it. Marriott was able to sell Platinum-Plus developer weeks at a premium and they sold way more than just 2 weeks worth. Buyers beware, if you purchase resale only 1 Platinum-Plus week it will be nearly impossible to book week 51 or 52. Most of these are either booked via Fixed weeks or consecutive week bookings beginning with week 50, 49, 48, etc. for multi-week owners
