Is my II request realistic?

Greetings. I have just made my first II deposit and I am hoping the group could provide some direction.
I have deposited my gold season MGV 2BR lockout as a studio + BR (Highest TDI for gold). Using the studio, I made a request (with eplus) for a specific week in March 2026 - back into MGV for a 2BR.
Using the studio I can immediately exchange into a 1BR for the week and resort I want, BUT not a 2BR. However, using the 1BR I do see the 2BR I want.
My question to the group is- should I wait to see if I can get a 2BR using the studio or should I use the 1 BR to get the 2BR now?
I don't know how realistic I am being with my original request (studio to 2BR). I was hoping to use the 1BR for a different exchange but I don't want to lose out one the March 2026 2BR in MGV.
Greatly appreciate any feedback.
 
If you can see the 2-bed with your 1 bed but not the studio then that's the system telling you that you don't have the trading power in the studio to match to the 2-bed. That could change when you get to within 60 days and the TP requirements relax, as long as there's the 2-bed available. You could have a browse of the sightings forum to see if people have posted MGV 2-bed availability in March previously, that might give you a clue.
Is your MGV 2-bed resale or enrolled in Abound?
In future there is no need to pay for e-plus at the time you make the request, you can do that upto 14 days after you get a match confirmed.
 
The 2br is enrolled in Abound. Holding off on paying for e-plus is something I did not know. Thank you.

If you are part of Abound, Marriott to Marriott or Vistana exchanges and retrades are free and unlimited.
Call II and tell them you want to cancel the EPlus and get a refund.

With your studio, can you see any other Marriott Orlando resorts 2BR units?
That could be a consideration if you want to save your 1BR for another exchange and are open to a different resort.
 
OK, as long as you are using the II account that is provided with your Club Dues then you don't need to buy e-plus if you are exchanging into other MVC, Sheraton and Westin properties, you get unlimited no fee retrades. You probably won't get a refund this time, do try, but what will have happened is that you will have enabled the extension of your deposit by 12 months, as well as the ability to exchanging 3 x for no fee. You'll be able to use the 3 e-plus retrades if you want and then you'll be able to do the no fee retrades.

Lots of us learned that the hard way............

If II won’t refund the eplus just cancel the exchange request and resubmit the request without EPlus
 
It sounds like you split the 2 br lock out and 1 br then used the eplus for the lockout so you get an extra week? You could have traded to two br for a different week, but not by splitting it.
Is it possible you are going from gold to platinum season? Bc you may not have enough trading power this way.

Oh what a rookie mistake! Thank you all for that information. I am definitely calling to see if they will honor a refund/ cancel. I did see one resort with a 2BR but really wanted the MGV.

I definitely found out that the studio does not have enough trading power for what I had hoped to do. But I was able to exchange the Gold season 1BR for a Platinum 2BR for t he exact week I wanted and I still have a full week (studio side) to use. Thanks to all for helping me set expectations.
 
It is possible that the pending request (OGS) will pick up something you can't see in instant exchange inventory, but if it doesn't pick it up within a couple days, chances are there isn't enough trade power to pull the trade.

You didn't mention if you get that OGS cancelled and got your refund for the eplus. You can do it on the website without calling.

Apologies, you can only drop or add resorts.
I wonder what happens if you drop all the resorts.in the OGS? I don't have any unit to test it.
 
They would not allow me to cancel eplus or the transaction - stating it was more then 24hrs. Again rookie mistake! I will know better next time.

It is very likely he will be able to undo the e-plus.
Tell him you are an enrolled Abound member, and didn't know you didn't need the e-plus.
