I have 3 deeded weeks at Legacy - originally bought as The Oaks at Resort World in 1987. I own weeks 4 5 & 6. A friend recently visited Kissimmee and said that the site my unit was on is no longer there, It was opposite the resort where Legacy is now. How can my units be demolished if I own them? Do I continue to pay my Maintenancer fees on a unit that does not exist? Is anyone else in the same situation?

I think you better take this up with your management or Home Owner's Association. Call the resort, or preferably, write. Did you not get notices, or billing for MF?

The resort still stands, is still in II for exchange, and is not defunct in any way. I have no idea what your friend was seeing.

You are kidding right? Yes the resort still stands, but the original Oaks across the street is a Condominium Association and anyone looking to get out of their TS can use that first and foremost, The main resort is used as a hotel with cops there every night and large families living in units for long period of time. Its pathetic.

Also, you cannot exchange Legacy Oaks for anything in Florida in II. Legacy doesn't allow it. Also, what used to exchange as an Awesome Exchange is now disgusting. I was given a lock off unit at the Oaks that my uncle purchased when the Oaks at Resort World was built and while the main unit had been renovated, the lock off was so moldy that even w the door locked we could not stay more than 1 night and had to transfer to the hotel (so called TS resort) across the street.
