We have 308,000 points Club Wyndham Bali Hai that was a gift from TUG member @rickandcindy23, (Cindy has been lovely to deal with, and we're really excited to have this account). The transfer took a while and well a few twist and turns as @rickandcindy23 has documented in her posts.

I've noticed that the fees charged to this account, are not consistent with what we had anticipated or what others are paying for Bali Hai (as posted on the Maintenance Fee spreadsheet $5.12/1000 for maintenance fee and 0.75/1000 program fee).

Currently we're being billed $168.84/month, as follows-
- maintenance fee of $133.93/month ($1,607.16/year) this equates to $5.22/per thousand.
- plus $34.91 program fee ($418.92/year), equating to $1.36/per thousand.

In my mind the maintenance fee seems to be in the ball park for Bali Hai, but program fee should be $0.75/thousand, while we are being charged $1.36/per thousand, which is an additional $187.92/year for program fee.

I called Club Wyndham last Thursday, I was transferred to the finance team, they put me onto the transfers dept, who had not clues and told me they just transfer accounts as is, then put be back onto the finance dept. The agent agreed that it should be $0.75/thousand and offered to investigate, today I received a follow-up call, the agent said that they've completed the investigation and the maintenance fee on my account is correct, but could not explain the discrepancy. So I asked for a breakdown of the fees, she said the monthly fee is maintenance fee of $133.93 plus program fee of $34.91. I asked why my program fee is almost twice the published rate, she had no answer, and suggested that they would have to do an account audit, which could take up to 90 days.

Ok so here are some observations about my account that I think may be impacting my fees and perhaps I should just live with it since I have access to some additional benefits.
1. The account is showing as a Silver VIP, even though its only 308,000 points and technically a resale account (Silver VIP is typically Developer Purchased points greater than 500,000)
2. We seem to have access to additional benefits (some of which are not typically transferred with resale accounts) -
- Club Pass, it looks like we have the ability to book Worldmark stays from our Club Wyndham account (points plus $79 Club Pass Fee)
- Housekeeping Credits shows 6 (should be 4, but with Silver VIP an additional 2 is granted)
- Points Deposit Feature (Silver VIP allows to roll over your points into the next use year up to 6 months into the year)
- Suite upgrades
- 2 VIP RARP (VIP Reciprocal Advance Reservation Priority Reservation (we just booked a stay 12 months out for Dec 2026 at a resort that is not Bali Hai and it shows as VIP RARP)

The Club Wyndham agent seem to be confused about why the account has access to some of these benefits.

Now my question - does anyone have an idea why we're being charged $1.36/thousand for program fee rather than $0.75/thousand, and is this an anomaly that we have access to these additional benefits, should I take the extra benefits, pay the higher fee, instead of trying to get them to investigate the program fees?

Now that you have brough it to their attention, that ship may have sailed, try to take advantage of those privileges while they last, especially the unlimited housekeeping

The person I spoke did not seem interested in pursuing it. She said that I'd have to contact special services she even gave me a phone number and left it at that.

If it has VIP benefits, you should probably have kept your mouth shut

I was going to say the same. In the past some Bali Hai have had contracts transferred that did not flag as resale.

el cid did as well around 2010 but were rtu and most would have expired by now.

Loose lips sink ships. I would not post all the add-ons that were transfered knowing Wyndham monitors this forum. Maybe the lower program fee is more important???

From personal experience I know Wyndumb Finance is all scr**ed up. It took an acquaintance that personally knew a Senior VP at Wyndumb to get my stuff straightened out. Lo and behold once the VP got involved it was discovered I was correct. If I had not fought it would have cost me thousands of dollars extra. I had spent days making numerous telephone calls being told I was wrong and being referred to numerous different offices.

Contrary to the conspiracy theories here on TUG - unless the OP posts their email address or their Wyndham member ID or some other PII that could actually be used to determine what specific account this applies to - there's no practical way for Wyndham to do what you're theorizing here. If anyone thinks Wyndham is going to go to such lengths for one account, when they have so many other more pressing matters to attend to, please give me some of what you're smoking LOL.

The 2026 program fee for 308k annual points is $0.77 per thousand for developer points, so $237.16 per year. Btw, you really lucked out!

Do you own any other points with Wyndham? The program fees for everything are lumped together instead of being shown for each contract. Did you get a 2026 annual assessment summary from Wyndham? Can you go into Paymentus to see if that sheds some light on things?

$168.84 x 12 = $2026.08 - $237.16 (program fee) = $1788.92 ÷ 308 = $5.808

There's not just one maintenence fee for all Bali Hai points. The figure shown on the spreadsheet is for what was sold as points and this is most likely a converted fixed week. Which explains why you have a VIP account. Yay for you! The 2025 maintenance fees on your points probably weren't $5.12 as you thought. Was Cindy able to give you a VOID, it's like an estoppel?

After the comments here, we've realized how much of an anomaly it is to get this type of a setup. We're excited to use the points and learn more about what we have.

This is our first Club Wyndham contract, we don't have another.
The contract was transferred late in the year and so the 2026 annual assessment summary does not show up in our Paymentus account and the initial monthly fee statements were inconsistent. However, now that I understand the benefits of having this unique contract I'm not as fussed about paying the slightly higher fee.

These Bali Hai converted fixed weeks seem quite rare, few people know much about them. I now understand why the maintenance fee vary from contract to contract at Bali Hai.

By the way, Cindy was great throughout the process, she gave us screenshots of everything and kept us updated along the way, and I learnt so much in our exchanges.
