We reserved 1 3-bedroom Marriott Grand Vista at Orland during one of free unit size-up promotion for January 17, 2026. Does it mean only 2 days left for us to E-Plus to a later date, preferable close to December 26, January 27? I thought that interval changed to 30 days or 45 days for the deadline?

Someone will know definitely but I would not wait for an answer.
I retraded my January placeholders for December 2026

Eplus is still 69 days. Regular trades and retrades are now 39.

I'm confused.
I thought it was 60 and 30 days?
It used to be that way. If you tried to retrade inside 60 days you were limited to 60 days. If you tried to retrade inside 14 days then you were 30 day restricted. Now it is just a 30 day restriction retrading inside 30 days.

I just re-traded to Marriott Grande Vista December 26, 2026 for 2 bedroom(although not a 3 bedroom as we prefer). I thought that we could use the week for the holiday season if we are unable to secure a more desirable location/week. There are Dec 27 & 28, 2026, 2 bedrooms available as well.

I am also confused. That seems wrong. What date did that change, so I can check my exchanges for the end date? Seems like a gotcha game to me.

I am going to stop adding eplus to most of my exchanges. So many I haven't used even once.

Nothing has changed for Eplus, it remained the same. They changed the Flexchange rule in June for all other exchanges.

Another related question: we have a 1-bedroom reservation at Marriott Lake Shore for the New Year week. Could we Eplus to a bigger villa if there are any late minute cancellations showing up at Interval (not likely), or we are out of luck within 60 days?

You can Eplus retrade up till 15 days before check in. Do you have Eplus or is this an enrolled week exchange?

Thank you@dioxide45. We have 3 Eplus re-trades on this reservation.

In order to prevent your eplus retrade from becoming restricted, you need to retrade it 60 days or more in advance of your check-in date. Eplus starts at day 59 and less up until 2 weeks before and then you can't eplus any more. Previously, flexchange and the eplus time frame coincided. That changed when they separated handling on "new" flexchange period and new eplus.

The 30 day you're referring to is the late deposit restriction and the new flexchange period.

Eplus be used 14 days prior. It used to be up to the day of check in.
It used to be up to 24 hours prior to checking, but really up to 11:59pm Eastern Time the day before check in. As noted, retrades must now be done prior to 14 days before check in. Day 15 is the last day to retrace with Eplus.
