Is home resort important for BG?

I am considering purchasing a Bluegreen timeshare, and I have a question regarding the importance of the home resort. I see that different resale listings come with different home resorts and point amounts. I am wondering how important the home resort is within the Bluegreen system.


If I purchase a deed but do not plan to visit that home resort often because it is far from where I live, will I still be able to book other resorts easily?
 
The reason home resort is importantly is
1) as a resale owner, you can only book bonus time where yiu own.

2) you can reserve the week and unit listed on your ownership at 13-11 months out, before inventory is released to all BG owners at 11 months.

I used to own at La cabana weeks 51,52,1-3 - it was great not to have to worry about getting time there, I had my guarenteed units.

If the above are not important to you, then all points are the same and can be used to reserve any BG resort at 11 months based on availability
