Hi. Has anyone heard of or worked with this company? It seems like a scam... I received a cold call from this company. They knew the resort that I owned. They asked if I was interested in selling and at what price. I mentioned 9k and he said he would send me an offer. The 'letter of intent' offer arrived by email, and was for 23.5k. I can find no scammer reports on the internet, and even chatgpt :) didn't find anything. When trying to log on to their website www.globalvtg.com it says account suspended :-( If you know anything , let me know.. THANKS. John

There are no scam reports because these "companies" change their name constantly. It doesn't matter what name they give you. Only scammers make a cold call to you regarding your timeshare. Unscrupulous people at the resorts "sell" the owners list to the scammers. That's how the scammers know where you own.
They do not have a buyer.

It is an upfront fee scam.

They will pretend to have a buyer, but there's just this one problem, a "fee" needs to be paid before they can proceed. They ask you for the fee. Then, if they think they can get more, there will be a another fee.

At some point, you realize you've been scammed. They disappear, and appear under another name.
 
Definitely a scam. A cold call and suspended website are major red flags.

The website was created in 2019. There is a BBB profile but nothing on the profile (complaints are removed after three years). My guess is that the scammer put this company name on the back burner for years and may be starting up the scam with this name once again.

The below Tennessee government pdf from 2021 discusses Global Vacation Trading Group. A timeshare owner filed a complaint against a licensed Tennessee timeshare salesperson. Seems the timeshare owner was contacted with a cold call who claimed they had a buyer but wanted significant money upfront for a Mexican notary. When the owner balked, they threatened to Sue for the 4% commission, typical scammer operation. It was determined that the scammer Global Timeshare Vacation Group stole the identity of an actual licensed salesperson from a similar company name. I am unable to copy/paste from my phone but you can do a search of Global to find it.
