How do I search and book an II flexchange with Worldmark? I already have an II account and Worldmark is in it, but I'm afraid that if I just search and book something, I would be charged the normal amount of credits for a regular exchange, even if I choose an exchange within 59 days or fewer of check-in. Is there a way to specify "flexchange"?

I'm not sure if it's the same with Worldmark credits, but with MVC Abound points or Vistana (Sheraton/Weston) points, there is no discount on the amount of points during the Flexchange period. Flexchange really only makes a difference when exchanging an actual week rather than points.

No, there is nothing you do differently. Just book it like a normal exchange but it must be within the 59-day window.

Does Worldmark get a discount on credits/points used during the Flexchange period?

According to Worldmark's website, "Flexchange is an Interval International term for last-minute reservations. Owners book Flexchange reservations through II at a cost of 4,000 WorldMark vacation credits per reservation regardless of location, season or unit size."

Wow, that's actually pretty awesome. Like I said earlier, no discounts using Marriott or Vistana points, so Flexchange doesn't do anything for me.

Not to get off topic more, but with Marriott, you can deposit points as a unit placeholder. So you can deposit enough points for a studio and then use that to possibly exchange into a 1BR or 2BR inside Flexchange. There would be no upgrade fees.

As for Worldmark, just don't try to use Eplus, credits always get messed up when doing retrades.

Hmmm... That is an intriguing idea. I kind of wish Vistana would work that way. Too bad Abound can't trade back into MVC/VSN resorts in II, which is definitely an advantage for Vistana. Tradeoffs I guess.

@Judy
Today is June 22, 2023
59 days from today is Aug 20, 2023
Aug 20, 2023 is the latest check-in date possible to be within flexchange. Any confirmation for Aug 20, 2023 or earlier will be within flexchange, and will be charged that way.
(For weeks owners, that means no upsize fees !)

Please report back and let us know how it works for you. We completed a flexchange in April but called in to make sure it went through correctly. Also, please note it takes 10-14 days or more for the credits & HK token to move from your WM account. It may take longer now w/ the messed up website, etc.

I will. But it will be quite a while. I only asked now because I want to do some research.

Nope, not always. Best to leave the advise about exchanging with Worldmark to people who have actually exchanged using Worldmark.
WM is different and complicated when exchanging. The best place to get accurate information is at wmowners.com where actual WM owners who have exchanged more than a few times will answer the questions.

I was able to instant exchange WM in II for the VDP Loreto. I think it was 4000 credits plus exchange fee. I use II mostly for getaways but haven't used the short getaway yet. The short getaway kind of interests me because it would be good for road trips.

I have an Interval account that was set up when i bought into marriott. How do I add my worldmark account to it? Or do I need to create another one?

Hey, I am just going by experiences posted here by many others that have done instant exchanges using WM credits and tried retrading using ePlus @DaveNV . I also find it interesting that you are trying to drive discussion out of the forum here to wmowners. Nothing wrong with that, but why not otherwise tell me how I am wrong or add to the discussion? I do know more than just the systems that I own. I do read other forums on TUG and read about the experiences of owners of other systems.

Edited to add; Here is a thread explaining the issue I was referring to, perhaps using the term "always" was an absolute that I shouldn't have used. Because, it isn't always, but the answers are here on TUG, someone doesn't necessarily have to go to wmowners for everything;

If it is a corporate Marriott II account (enrolled weeks or trust points) you won't be able to add other resorts outside of Marriott to that.

Not corporate. Recently purchased resale weeks that’s it.

Years ago, i owned another II resort (not Marriott) After I bought Worldmark on the secondary market, I just called II and asked them to add Worldmark to the II account I already had. You might try that. But my experience was before Worldmark changed over to RCI, so I don't know whether simply calling will work for you.
