Ok, am I missing something? I was on the phone with II Saturday night for 1.5 hours trying to add another week to the account I've had since 2012. The agent was very uninformed of the procedures to add a unit. I have added 7 weeks to this account since 2012. She told me that I needed to pay $118 to add my weeks to the account. I have 3 weeks from the same resort in this account. I was online with her 45 minutes as she asked me to give her the information for my 3 weeks that were already in the account and could clearly be seen. Then, the called dropped. When I called back and got the second person, here was the same drama about me paying $39 to add a week to my existing account. I don't recall ever paying a fee to add a week to II, but maybe I'm wrong and just done't remember paying anything. I finally requested a supervisor who was able to explain the process to add weeks to my account. I paid $39 to add the week.

* I wasn't sure where to place this post on TUG.

As long as I've used Interval with Marriott (I think 2019), there has been a few to add a week.

It's been a while since I've added a week, but they waived the fee to extend the membership or extend Platinum so that's always what I've done.

Yes its normal for II to charge a fee to add a week to your account, sometimes you can extend your membership expiry date or Plat level

Yes. The fee has always been there. They will waive the fee if you renew your annual membership and/or renew or upgrade to gold or platinum.

I would agree there has always been a fee. However, I have had a couple of weeks I was able to add without a fee and without any other qualifying event like extending but this was early on. I have routinely been able to combine specials and adding the weeks as one even such as the 2 years for the price of one.

I just added two Marriott resales to my personal account. I chose to extend my basic membership for one year to add the two.

Grande Ocean Platinum, 3 x Grand Chateau 3 Bedroom (annual, EOY Odd, EOY Even).,
I believe if you already have the same size unit, the same use pattern (EY, EOYO or EOYE), at the same resort for the same season, they will waive the fee. I have to call II at some point to add a guest certificate. I will validate what I just wrote.

I have always had to pay in one way or another to add a week even when I had the same exact ownership there (I have 10 weeks that are the same at MGO & 2 at WR). What I have seen is that if you call you can deposit more than one unit as a supplemental week but that can't be done online.
