Not being a TS owner, how do the Getaways on Interval work? Similar to RCI last calls? Does Hawaii ever show up or is it lower demand resorts in lower season?

There are getaways for every area and some are bulk deposited a year in advance. They are usually not very cheap. They have lots of hotels options, too.

It's almost always areas with excessive inventory - which does not describe Hawaii on II.

I would not expect to get the prime resorts in Hawaii, but if you will take any resort, anytime, and you search religiously, you can probably get something.

On II - you really need to put in ongoing searches to get exchanges - far more than on RCI.

Some resorts are getaway only and not available with an exchange. They are under contract with II. These resorts are generally expensive and not a "discount" getaway variety. Many of these are also not timeshares, but they show up in getaways the same as the others.
