Sorry if this has been asked before.

I am trying to do an OGS (Marriott deposit) with a request mix of Marriott and non-Mariott properties. If I get a hit on a Marriott resort will I get refunded my $239 Interval fee?

No, you won't get refunded the difference between Marriott and the regular exchange fee. Best not to have resorts in your search that aren't Marriott. Unfortunately, you cannot change the search criteria back to Marriott or Vistana only and get a refund either. You have to call and have them cancel the search entirely and start over.

I agree that you would be well served to have Marriott resorts and/or Vistana resorts ONLY in your ongoing search request.
1. Exchange fee is discounted or 0
2. Marriott owners get preference for Marriott resorts
3. Marriott owners get secondary preference for Vistana resorts

What area are you targeting where you believe you need to add in non-Marriott family resorts?

You're usually best to start out with Marriott to Marriott/Vistana only and then if it's been a while without a match, then consider adding another resort in and paying the fee at that time.
