Here's a new one (I think)...made a trade into Cypress Harbour for next month about a 10 months ago, received the confirmation certificate which had the Marriott confirmation number on it (we actually did two back-to-back weeks, so two trades). I called this week to string together all of our reservations and they couldn't find one of the confirmation numbers, so I went on to the Interval and requested an updated confirmation email, which included a DIFFERENT Marriott confirmation number, but only for that exchange and not the other one. Eventually we got it all straightened out but seems there was a change in confirmation number at some point along the way.

I noticed this one time several years ago. The number had changed sometime between II confirmation and when we checked in. I don't remember what resort, but I recall it was in Orlando. Not sure why it would have happened.

It has been reported. It's likely that this was a unit that was not supposed to be deposited. Either it was deposited by mistake or it was a request first that ended up being pulled back. At least it's CH where all units are the same and there are no view types. But I have also seen one instance where the resort did this or had it done. The GM at Ko Olina discussed this issue specifically in 2018 suggesting that MS not only could, but did at times, change the actual reservation of an exchange which I assume would also change the #. One other possibility is it was switched to extend a developer deposit's expiration date.
