Internal Spinnaker resort exchanges

Good morning Tuggers,

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cottages at Shipyard last week and was wondering if I can exchange from my Spinnaker PalaceView resort in Branson, Missouri to a Spinnaker resort in Hilton Head for a week stay? I'd rather stay pay a fee to exchange there from time to time than to purchase a week there given the 1/4 year rule.

I own Westgate and am able to pay a fee to exchange to any other Westgate resort if it is available. Does this apply to the Spinnaker resorts as well?

We own two resorts managed by Southwind (Spinnaker) in Branson. We've attended the sales presnetation twice now and both times they indicated that Spinnaker has no internal exchange program. IMHO, a big setback for Spinnaker resorts and their owners.

Thank you very much for that information. I am at the Waterside by Spinnaker as we speak and was invited to the presentation for the 5th time today. When I told them I would like exchange my Branson unit for a HHI unit they said I would need to attend the presentation to see how. As I see you have gone twice to no avail, I have no reason to go to get the same response.

The only way I know to make that exchange would be to make it through Interval International like anyone else that owns non-Spinnaker resorts. That is unless they've changed something and forgot to tell the owners.

We own two weeks in Branson that are managed by Southwind Management. Southwind Management also manages Palace View by Spinnaker and it's the same sales force selling Palace View by Spinnaker, French Quarter Resort and Grand Regency at Thousand Hills Resort.

Not quite true - While it it true that Spinnaker does not allow an exchange from their Branson properties to a Spinnaker Hilton Head property (or vice versa); depending on the type of Spinnaker Hilton Head Island ownership one has, you are entitled to exchange for a different Spinnaker property on Hilton Head. I think Ormond Beach in Florida is included in that package also, but I'm not positive of that detail.
