I have an ongoing exchange that obviously has not matched. I searched with the week for a different exchange that I now want to get. I presume if I book that new exchange the ongoing exchange will just disappear? I am just confirming I don't have to wait until tomorrow to call II and cancel the ongoing exchange first.

Yep, go ahead and confirm it. Since they have the promo for no upgrade fees, and you've already paid for the exchange, there should be no additional fees.

You'll also have through tomorrow (and maybe early on Tuesday) to cancel. They can actually re-instate the ongoing search to how it was.

I'd go ahead and confirm what you want and then figure out if you want to keep it.

Thanks, I just clicked through and booked it. Totally forgot about the free size upgrade! Week is enrolled so totally free. Studio Shadow Ridge for 1BR Maui Ocean Club (old).

And Keith didn't understand why we didn't want to buy points at our presentation last month. :ROFLMAO:

And it is Oceanview. Fingers crossed.

I get the same thing, we travel a lot on II getaways. They always seem flabbergasted that we are willing to "throw money away" by buying getaways when we could use that money to instead buy points from them. We should own more instead of continuing to rent getaways. When the getaways are less than the maintenance fees, in what world would it make sense to put that money into buying points?

I get the flexibility of points, but in all the II exchanges we've done we could throw away half of each week long stay and still come out way ahead by exchanging through II the way we do.

Our two weeks get 4125 points. We get four exchanges from those two weeks (lock offs). From our 2024 ownership the four exchanges that would have cost 14,125 points. For 2025 it would have cost us 10,750. We are only two exchanges in to using our 2026 usage and those would have cost 4,700 points.
