Why is Tapatalk popping up this morning to install this forum on this website?
I do not want to install it?
How do I stop it?

I'm using a Samsung tablet. Are you using a mobile phone? I see that popup all the time when using TUG on my iPod Touch.
I have never had a Taptalk app on any of my devices. It is only showing up to install on my Samsung tablet.Just delete the Taptalk app from your device(s).
What is Taptalk...
I acted liked, I was going to install it last night; then I hit the cancel button. It pops up on my Samsung tablet, too.
I'll bet there's some sort of tie in between the two, or with Google.
Either way, I find it annoying, too..

Thank you TUGBRIAN.supposedly its related to the cookie on your device, clicking "no thanks" should update the cookie and not prompt you again to install the app.
however if your device is not set to accept or edit cookies, or the cookie for the forum has been corrupted and cannot be updated, it will prompt you repeatedly.
id think as an easy test, deleting the tugbbs.com forum cookie and then logging back in should give you the prompt one more time (and re-create the cookie)...to eliminate it from showing up again.
that said if you have configured your device or phone to disable cookies altogether, it might cause this also.
It's that old? I didn't hear about it until the public was carrying internet-capable phones.TapaTalk is a forum/BBS/newsfeed reader independent of your browser.
It was big back in the days of "newsgroups" before people migrated to web.
It may be useful as a mobile app, but it's actually redundant.

It's that old?... If it goes back to BBS days, it sure was quiet about itself.
Actually, it's not. ... It was set up in 2014.
I had it confused with another newsreader.
