Sibs & I inherited an HGVC TS @ Paradise in LV as it was left in a Trust. Contacted Diane N and she was FANTASTIC about answering questions and getting me info but unfortunately it is worthless and none of us want to be left holding the proverbial TS bag. It is deeded, paid for, fees due in probably 60 days and no one at HGVC is getting back to me about how to give it back. Did some research on Disavowal letters but can't find anything with actual language and I'm scared of missing something. Also, I am co-trustee and I've read that even if we all disavow, HGVC will likely do a "death foreclosure" so I will have to deal with it as trustee. Any advice on how to proceed or a letter to use? MUCH APPRECIATE any guidance. The Attorney who did the Trust is expensive and not very helpful but if all else fails I can go to her.

Is there still a timeshare loan? Chances are, even with no resale value, you could give it away for free and it just takes the trustee then signing it over to the new owner.

It's been completely paid off for years, they purchased it in 1999, always paid the MF and used it up until about 10 years ago. Its for a 2bdrm, platinum, 11,200 points per year at Paradise.

I think they would roll over points because it currently has 22,400 points per the last statement, MF fees just over $1300/year

I would think this has at least some resale value given it is Platinum season. It could certainly be given away for free. No need to deed back or have them foreclose. Might be best to ask about it in the HGVC forum.
