I am looking for information on this new resort. Is it manditory all-inclusinge? Can you walk to Peurto Morales on the beach? What is the best way to get to the resort from Cancun airport? Should I buy some groceries before getting to the resort or wait and purchase from Playa del Carmen? Thanks,

NO this is not a mandatory all-inclusive, unless you booked the resort that way from a travel site.
No walking to Puerto Morales. The resort is very remote, cab fare will be 4.00US. I think possibly by now a bus might be running by the resort.
You will be right in between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen.
I do not believe there is a grocery store in Puerto Morales. I do believe food will be very expensive at the resort.
You can take a cab to highway and then a bus to Playa to Walmart for supplies. I am sure a cab to Playa will be 30.00 US.
try to line up your airport transportation to the resort before you arrive.
I would think 16.00 per person each way.

Good News is the resort is very very rich and famous.
 
Some good info can be had at www.tripadvisor.com I think it is listed as Marina El Cid Riviera Maya. The reviews are worth reading. The resort looks to be quite beautiful. I think you can get to the pictures thru the El Cid web site.

I was under the impression that it is AI; glad to hear it is not. Until the town of Puerto Morelos builds up I think it will be quite isolated from any activity or good restaurants. From what I have read there is hardly anything in PM. Hopefully that will change in the near future. However, it may be because of the hurricane(s) last year everything was closed for a while.

Please let us all know what your impression is after you visit.
