Has anyone been to Kahana Falls recently? We have been offered a studio and need to make a decision FAST. All the reviews I've read don't seem to be very positive. Thanks for anyone and everyone's help!

The one bedroom 2 bath unit splits into a hotel size room and a studio. The studio has a full kitchen with a washer/dryer and small two person lanai. The couch pulls out into a queen sized bed (it does not fold out). It's adequate and much better than the hotel room portion. If you really got a studio you should have an ok experience.

Good luck with you decision and have fun in Maui if you decide to go.

Go online to their website, and you can see exactly what you will get---floorplans shown on the site.

Make SURE that you are being offered the studio, and NOT the hotel kunit.

We really enjoy our Kahana Falls one bedroom unit, but everyone is right, the studio is by far better than just having the hotel lockout.

Re: reviews for Kahana Falls

I think the Hale Kipa units are the ones that are giving the resort bad reviews.
These are the units that were built to accommodate the workers & then were sold as timeshare units. The hotel units in the lock -offs are small & I can understand some exchangers being upset especially if they are giving up much larger units. But you have to take into consideration where you own to get into a unit on Maui. It is high demand. We spent 2 weeks at Kahana Falls last March & we were not disappointed. We invited friends to join us for the 2 weeks & they thought it was the prettiest resort along there.
I see where the resort has now lost it's silver crown rating.....it used to be gold crown.
I still love the resort & it gets us whatever is out there, when we trade it!

We stayed in one of the Hale Kipa units and had no problem with it although we knew the "regular" 1 bedrooms in the other buildings were nicer. I asked to see one of Hotel units bebause we were thinking of adding a couple of extra days and this was all they had available. The Hotel unit was very small and cramped and we passed on staying our extra days at Kahana Falls.
