We are currently at the Marriott Waiohai and took a walk today to explore the Sheraton Kauai Resort. I did an AI search asking how many timeshare units they had as I occasionally see efficiency units on Interval exchanges. AI stated there are only 40 timeshare units and they are all garden units (far back building from the ocean). Is this true? The place is massive. Has anyone stayed in a unit and can say what the kitchen might be like?

They renovated the hotel rooms across the street (behind the current hotel) and created small timeshare units. There are no units on the ocean side of the street. Some people report a distant ocean view from some higher units.

These websites have pictures, but some of the public area pictures are from the hotel:

Stayed there Apr 2024. The timeshare units are across the road from the Sheraton hotel part. Basically it is a converted hotel. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit and it is small. Very little storage space in the bedroom itself. The kitchen is just a microwave and hot plate. It is quiet and not that busy. You can use the pool and beach area on the hotel side. We stayed 5 nights there and then did 5 nights at Westin Princeville which we prefer. We wanted to see how it was on the south side of the island. We wouldn't stay there again. Next time we plan to do a week at the Marriott Kauai Beach Club and then go to Princeville.

Have stayed in both the 1 BR and studio units. The fact that they are across the road is really fine. Yes, no ocean views, but it is quiet and the grounds are lovely. The TS units get full access to the pool, the restaurant near the pool are is open all day, has decent food and drinks, live music at lunch when we were there, has a small store near the lobby of the hotel. There is an upscale restaurant on the property but is is right on the ocean and some genius designed it so none of the windows open and the A/C was freezing when I went in for drink to check it out. It is expensive also but the no open windows is just plain crazy.

That is the good news. The units themselves are the worst hotel conversion we have ever stayed in. The 1BR, as CarpeDiem65 said, has almost no storage of any kind (plan on living out of your suitcases in part), the bathroom opens right into the living room and the kitchen is limited. The studios are tiny. No storage, extremely limited kitchen. I was there by myself, which was OK enough, but I have no idea where we would have put my husband or any of his luggage. Studio really not recommended unless you are going solo.
