One adult requires inexpensive transportation from the vacation village at Weston/Mizner Place to the Amtrak station in Fort Lauderdale. The bus is not an option since this person will have a full size suitcase as well as a carryon.

I looked into a shared van through tri-county transportation service but it looks like they just go to/from the airport.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you

I would call the resort for suggestions, South Florida is not known for it's public transportation. You may have to bit the bullet and hire a taxi - if there are any other options the resort may have information.

But, you may be able to take a shuttle to the airport and then a different shuttle to the train. Or the airport shuttle may also have a stop at tri-rail. Tri-Rail is a tri county train that runs all day long. An airport shuttle to a tri rail station may help, since most tri-rail trains and Amtrack share the same railway. It will be time consuming if you can get this figured out. I would try one of the Broward or Palm Beach County web sites for information about tri-rail, airport shuttles etc...

Be careful on the rail stops.

The Tri Rail stop labeled Ft Laud Airport (with a shuttle to the airport gates) is on Griffin Rd next to the Pro Bass Shops' Outdoor World - Islamorada Fish Company restaurant in Dania Beach. (Griffin off Ravenswood/Anglers Rd adjacent to I 95)

NO AMTRAK trains stop there.

Amtrak trains do stop at the Amtrak Tri Rail station N of the airport in Ft Lauderdale or on Hollywood Blvd and I 95 in Hollywood.
