Chrome update last week knocked me off Tug, every time I tried to connect it said could not find tugbbs.com.

Today there was a new update and everything is working again. It was a frustrating week trying to figure out what was wrong, rebooting my router, switching my wifi connection, etc. Those darn googlers messing with my Tug fix.

Good to be back!

sorry you were having an issue, glad it somehow fixed itself and you can get back again!

curious if you were clicking on a bookmark, or just typing in tugbbs.com?

At first it was the New Post bookmark, but then I tried just typing in tugbbs dot com and got the same result. I clear all cache and that didn't help either. I tried an online tracert site but it gave me strange results I couldn't really decipher.

I thought at first you were down for unscheduled maintenance. I then tried my phone on cell connection and it worked, then switched it to airplane and used my wifi router connection and that worked also. I pretty well narrowed it down to my ChromePad, which had just had an update. I had some other random sites that were unreachable.

This is the $99 Lenovo ChromePad deal that a few other members purchased over a year ago.

Chromebooks have an update expiration date, i don't know anything about ChromePad.

My old Chromebook expired almost two years ago but it still functions ok even though the browser hasn't updated.
I love my HP 14" chromebook with the Intel I3 processor and very sharp touchscreen.

If you're already the proud owner of your very own Chromebook, you can check your Chromebook's AUE date by yourself:
  1. Click the time, and then Settings.
  2. Click About ChromeOS at the bottom left of the screen, then click Additional details.
  3. There will be a section called Update schedule where you can find your AUE date.
