http://IntervalWorld.com Travel tab brings ups what looks like good prices for one night stays at timeshares (powered by http://www.condodirect.com ) and Hotels (powered by http://Hotels.com).
How do these rares compare with going directly to http://www.condodirect.com and http://hotels.com
Are additional fees like cleaning fees for less than 7 night stays common (like I usually see on RCI points)?
Is it an increasing trend that timeshares are rented nightly by third party companies? I noticed that "travel agents" without any of the regular credentials can log into http://travelagents.wyndham-vacations.com/main.taf?p=2 and https://www.extraholidays.com/eh/index.do to rent Wyndham and RCI affiliated properties.
Last month in Canmore, AB Canada we stayed in a nice enough studio at Elkhorn at Falcon Crest. The timeshare units in the building only included studios and all of nicer one bedroom units with washer/dryers & full kitchens were ONLY available for rent. We don't know if those units used to be available for timeshare users but wonder if some timeshare units are becoming rental only.
When we were in Hawaii using http://VacationInternationale.com units we met a couple staying in one of the VI units who mentioned they booked the nights on an online site like Hotels.com for less than our VI points for the same night cost us.
