So I matched over Canadian thanksgiving to Marriott Custom House. I've been there about 12 years ago and loved it. It was a request first so I've paid the fee and I understand it could be quite a while to take the points. Two questions I assume it will cost me 8000 points as it is a one bedroom but I don't have a HK token. How exactly will this work and any idea how long until they take the points and collect the HK? TIA

Joan
PS I only use II very little and usually for Mexico with a deposit first. I always need to ask how to use it.

I'm thinking not having the hk token available to at least borrow from next year could be a problem. You might want to call WM to see what they say.

Is this Worldmark? If so, you may want to use the Report button to ask for it to be moved to the Worldmark forum.

Thanks Bill I'll wait a bit and see if any one knows exactly what will happen but I could likely pay for a token on a reservation I've already made (unfortunately they are all 2 bedrooms so more expensive) if I have to. I never have enough as I generally rent in points.

Thanks
Joan

Worldmark has been taking a long time to deduct credits for II trades, so make sure you keep enough credits available in your account for as long as it takes WM to act.

A 1 br exchange costs 9,000 credits. (2 br = 10,000 and 3 br = 12,000)

If you have an HK to borrow, they will deduct that, unless you have it tied up in a reservation. (I would not let them take it for a 1 br exchange. Pay the $ instead). Save your HK to use on a 2br or larger reservation.

Once you see the credits have been deducted (make sure you have a spreadsheet, or screen prints, and check every week day), you call Vacation Planning to pay the HK fee.

Do NOT let them send you to Finance Dept. If VPC is not knowledgeable, ask to be transferred to Owner Care.
