I did notice them still in the directory. Though I hadn't looked at the magazine. Chances are that magazine was already planned and printing started before the changes in resort fee happened. I hope for many the resorts show back up. I hope that the big fee doesn't. I suspect though that if they do come back the fees will match RCI.I’m thinking you’re right - Interesting that Interval International’s new magazine featured a one page Vidanta ad, and all the Vidanta resorts are still listed in the online resort directory.
I think the Four Seasons properties are $40 a day. So that is $280 for a seven night stay. There was also a resort posted on TUG in the last week or so that was $30 a day ($210 for a week). So a question: What is the largest resort fee of any II resort outside Vidanta? DVC has $190, but I suspect that's not the highest.
We understand that wasn't your question. But some of us suspect that the answer to this question...I am NOT at this point addressing resort fees.
...is that "II refuses to list exchange inventory with the exorbitantly high fees that Vidanta is currently charging to guests from other exchange companies."Why are the Vidanta resorts listed in the online II membership directory if indeed one is unable to reserve a week at any of their properties?
There are a lot of resorts listed in the resort directory that literally never or rarely come up for exchange. Sometimes, the resort companies are listed but don't make bulk deposits, and it is pure luck if an owner happens to deposit a week you might want. Vidanta resorts weren't particularly difficult to trade into last year on II or previous years, regardless of whether you owned MVC or not. This year, we are letting you know that we haven't seen any weeks available, which is unusual, but may change in the near future. The resort fee change happened around the same time the availability of Vidanta weeks vanished on Interval -- so there may have been a change in the way Vidanta is operating this year.My post is specifically questioning the ability/non ability to deposit a MVC week for trade into a Vidanta property. I am NOT at this point addressing resort fees. Why are the Vidanta resorts listed in the online II membership directory if indeed one is unable to reserve a week at any of their properties? The other timeshare exchange companies still do business with Vidanta (albeit with exhorbitant exchange fees).
