II Exchange Confirmation

I recently completed my first trade via II. However I never received any confirmation of the trade via email or the US postal service.

The only way I found out about it was by checking "My History".

My account is set up for email notification of exchanges.

When I questioned II about the notification, they stated that they sent me an email. I asked them to forward the email to me, because I never received it.

They stated that they were unable to do that with their email system.

Anyone else have this problem?

I would just like the opportunity to cancel future trades using the 24 hour window.

Thanks,
Paul

They do come from a very generic email address, like "Customer Service". Mine ended up in my spam folder.

There should be a tab to the upper far right of the "exchanges " page under confirmation that says "resend confirmation". All of mine have this.

I have received II "customerservice@interval-intl.com" emails in the past.

They are not going to a spam folder. Just no trade confirmation email.

Going forward, wondering if I am always going to have this issue with II.

I can live with the trade I received, just would like to have the opportunity to cancel future trades within 24 hours.

I have "resend confirmation" tab. However there is no indication on the confirmation certificate that it was ever emailed to me within 24 hours of the trade (ie. no time stamp of when the email was sent).

That's one reason I never do an ongoing search with II. I frequently do them with RCI, where their policies are much more liberal. If you don't check autoconfirm, they put the unit on hold and try to contact you when they get a match. If you do autoconfirm, it has been my experience that they will still let you cancel once you get the notice with no penalty.

I did do a regular exchange with II recently and got both a notice of the exchange and then the official confirmation document emails promptly. I think the first email was almost immediate and the confirmation came the next day.

MLP:

You must adapt to the fact that the email generally comes at about 3 in the morning.

Once you set up an ongoing search, you must check your email or "My History" or Pending Exchange requests (a match will call your Pending Request to no longer appear) every day.

You may resend the confirmation by logging into My History, finding your exchange, and clicking on Resend Confirmation.

I had two ongoing searches for back-to-back weeks; never did get the email for the first week, but found it like the OP did in my history. Then yesterday, I got an email for the second week. Hit or miss, I guess! Regardless, I'm very happy.

This has been a problem with us the last two years, when I saw the confirmation in "my history" I called II and they resent, never received, never in "junk" mail either.

From then on I just checked my account daily. I just don't trust their email operation. I have been able to reprint the confirmation also. I am a Marriott owner - don't know if that makes any differnece in the customer service - asking to resend to my email, they never hasselled me over the request.
