I have and II exchange for December 4, 2021 and purchased and purchased E-Plus Retrade. When do I need to do the retrade so I don't get tied into a short window for trades?

Just do your first retrade before 60 days prior to December 4th and retrade for something further out than 60 days from the date you retrade.

Another question, I paid for an upgrade to three bedroom unit, when making a retrade, can I book a three bedroom unit without paying the upgrade fee again?

I'm within 60 days of check-in and have 1 e-plus retrade left. If I use the final e-plus retrade, but retrade again by paying another exchange fee, can I buy e-plus again? For the new paid retrade, am I restricted to flexchange (up to 60 days) from new retrade date or the date of the last confirmation?

I think you have to retrade for something as far out as you can, then cancel for a cancellation replacement. That should then be able to have ePlus added when you make the first trade with that cancellation replacement. Retrade for something outside of the 60 day window and the cancelation replacement shouldn't be restricted.

Do you keep the trading power of the original deposit or the unit you make your retrade? I have found a unit that starts year from original trade that is a three bedroom (paid for the ungrade). And thinking of using my first retrade for it as I continue looking for a better unit.

That is what I would do to give myself time. Trading power stayed the same for all my replacements.

Thanks, @dioxide45. I received a Cancellation Replacement that expires a year from cancellation date. My paid upgrade from studio to 1BR carried over to the replacement.
That is great to know. I thougly that if you got a replacement certificate, you lost the money that you spent on upgrades. Great info.

You do lose the money paid, but I think they give you a cancellation replacement for the size of the unit you upgraded into, not the size of the original deposit.

Was about to put in a Place Request ongoing search using the cancellation replacement. The exchange fee is $209 even for M to M. I was expecting the discounted $154 rate. Anyone with experience with using cancellation replacement and its fees? I'll call customer service later in the week if this is an error.

That is what I was told in the past. You lose the discount but still supposedly get the preference. I believe enrolled Marriott members still get the free Marriot to M and V exchanges with the replacement week.
