I am a Disney (DVC) owner and am interested in taking a 2-night trip to Hyat[a Hyatt resort] I know DVC points have a strong rental market and DVC renters can get great savings over booking direct from Disney.

Is there a rental market for Hyatt Vacation Club? Can you rent just 2 nights? Sorry for my ignorance. I was going to book through Hyatt for my room and figured I should check here first in case I could be rent from an owner who can't use thier membership, helping both of us out.

Thanks for your input!

Hyatt advertises in the II magazine for "tour" participants, not sure if they have a sales office at the location you're interseted in

Since you own at DVC you should clear the bar for admission to the presentation

Hyatt works for 3 day weekend (which may start Thurs, Sat depending on resort) and owners can book 4 day or 2 day midweeks.

So depending on which days you want it may require extra night for weekend. i.e. you cannot book only a 2 day on weekend.i.e. fri-Sat, or Sat-Sun but need 3 day minimum.

There is a reservation charge, a guest certificate charge and often a split week charge. All 3 charges come out to be more than $100, actually $103.

Also consider the Chase Hyatt Visa

If you have good credit, you could apply for the Chase Hyatt Visa. It has a $75 annual fee not waived the first year, but it comes with 2 free nights at any Hyatt anywhere in the world.

https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/hyatt-card.aspx

To get the voucher, you need to spend $1000 with in the first 3 months of having the card, and you have a year to use it.

If you're looking to stay at an expensive Hyatt resort (Aruba for example), it would be well worth it.

Anita

PS - If you get this card, use it only for the $1000 needed to unlock the bonus. Then put it away until next year. Around the anniversary, call Chase and ask if they'll waive the annual fee. If they don't, either cancel the card or swap it out for a no annual fee card like the Chase Freedom.

The Hyatt free nights from chase is for the hotels not the TS. It would be hotel rooms but there are some great hotels. The only ones that have both hotel and TS are Highlands Inn and Park Hyatt at Beaver Creek.
