I have a Hyatt account and a Marriott account. I am looking for Disney availability and I can see it in the Marriott account, but not the Hyatt account. I realize Marriott has priority for Marriott properties, but I don't think it applies to Disney properties. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Thank You.

The most obvious answer is in the trade power of the deposits. Then there is also the regional block. If your Hyatt is in the Orlando area, it will not see an Orlando Disney resort.

No, the deposits are from Bonita Beach, Coconut Plantation.

I can see eight Disney exchanges available for March 2025 using Hyatt points.

The most obvious answer is in the trade power of the deposits. Then there is also the regional block. If your Hyatt is in the Orlando area, it will not see an Orlando Disney resort.

There isn’t really a trade power that varies by deposits with Hyatt. You don’t deposit a specific week or resort. You don’t desposit anything actually. Even points that you designate as being for EEE (ie that you’ve “moved” to II) don’t actually go to II.

II doesn’t know what you’re searching with (other than it’s a Hyatt) or whether you have the points to make the trade. You book something, II sends a notification to Hyatt and then Hyatt deducts the points from your account and confirms the trade.

All Hyatt owners should be able to see the same thing, and @DAman and I can both see DVC weeks. So there’s a problem with the OPs Hyatt account and she needs to call Hyatt to get it corrected.

Or the OP is searching for DVC dates that aren't available in II. They should perhaps search all dates that they can to see what is out there.

She said she was seeing DVC inventory when searching with her Marriott but couldn’t see it when searching with her Hyatt. So we know the inventory is there, unless she searched at different times and in between the DVC inventory was booked.

I see the same 2 DSS and 2 DVO exchanges for March 2025 today using both Hyatt points and WM credits.

How did you do it correctly? I feel like I don’t see exchanges with my Hyatt that others will say are available out of preference too.

This is what customer service sent me. I was not using the premiere elite category, once I did I could see what the Marriott could (outside of Marriott's preference).

The Hyatt program operates on points and you must select the highest
number of points in the premiere elite category so you can see all
options, one or two bedroom. Place in your dates as I found ma
ny
availabilities for Disney properties in the Hyatt account December 2024
through March 2025.

Marriott availabilities are also based upon your deposited week and when
checking with it (exchange 28897036), I found December 2024 through
March 2025.

The available properties are Disney's Saratoga Springs & Spa (DSS) and
Disney's Old Key West Resort (DVO). Some were one bedrooms and others
were two bedrooms. They were available in both accounts. If purchased
in either of your memberships, the cost would be $229 for the exchange.

If the dates desired are unavailable, you can always place a Pending
Request as you have done in the past and have one active at this time.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reply to this
e-mail. You can receive assistance from Customer Service at
1-877-782-7088.

Based on this information, so it is related to trade power, as in the selection of how many Hyatt points to use.

It never occurred to me that anyone would do anything other than select max points when searching, since there is no downside to doing so (you’re not committed to actually using those points, and it doesn’t matter whether you actually have them). My goal is always to see everything out there, whether I have the points to book it or not.

I guess that is trade power but I usually think of trade power as being able to see something valuable because you deposited something valuable.

When I say it’s not a trade power issue, what I’m saying is that all Hyatts have the ability to see the same deposits by choosing to search with max points (which I assumed everyone did). Unlike in Marriott where if you deposit a low value week, you can’t direct II to search as if you own a Platinum 3BR Maui week.

However I will freely admit that I am much more experienced in making Hyatt exchanges than Marriott exchanges, so maybe there is some way to see the highest value exchanges with the studio side of my gold Mountainside week (for example). My understanding was that if I had a middling value studio Marriott deposit that I’d be limited in what I can see in II with no ability to see more?
