I recently was contacted by a guy saying he was from Hyatt and wanted to set up a virtual update with me via zoom. And they would send me a $350 VISA card. I agreed to the presentation and they confirmed via email and said they would send a zoom link. Then I had to cancel as I had to spend the day with a friend having a surgical procedure. I called the number included in the confirming email to reschedule and never heard back. The email came from: reply-fe9212727060077a77-14075_HTML-1372682569-518004430-902@email1.hyattvacationclub.com (that is the email that popped up when I clicked a reply button). But the email in the sender line was: online.marketing@hyattvacationclub.com
When I called the number it was answered Thank you for calling Hyatt Vacation Club - please leave a message.
I was not going to buy anything but sitting home and listening to an update for a couple of hours seems worthwhile for $350. Has anyone heard of this online marketing promotion? I wondered if somehow clicking on their zoom link would allow them to access my computer? Or would they try to get a bank account number from me to "deposit the $350"?
